Privacy Policy

Last updated 1 September 2026

This policy explains what personal data Bonjourchat collects, why, and the choices you have. It covers our website and the Bonjourchat app. When you use Bonjourchat to talk to your own customers, you are the controller of that data and we process it on your behalf under our Data Processing Agreement.

01Who we are

Bonjourchat SAS, Paris, France, is the controller for data about our website visitors and account holders. Our Data Protection Officer can be reached at [email protected].

02Data we collect

Account data: name, work email, password hash, role and workspace settings. Usage data: pages visited, features used, device and browser type, IP address.

Customer conversation data you send through Bonjourchat — messages, call recordings, attachments and contact details — is processed only on your instructions.

03How we use it

To run and secure the service, provide support, bill you, and improve the product. We send product emails you can unsubscribe from at any time. We never sell personal data.

04AI processing

AI agents process conversation content to draft and send replies. Model providers act as our subprocessors under zero-retention terms: prompts and outputs are not stored or used to train their models.

Sensitive identifiers such as card numbers and IBANs are masked before inference.

05Sharing & subprocessors

We share data only with subprocessors that help us deliver the service, listed on our Security page. We give 30 days’ notice before adding a new one.

06International transfers

Data is stored in the EU. Where a subprocessor operates outside the EEA, transfers rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

07Retention

Account data is kept while your account is active and deleted within 30 days of closure. Conversation data follows the retention rules you set per channel; backups roll off after 35 days.

08Your rights

You can access, correct, export or delete your data, object to processing, or restrict it. Email [email protected] and we’ll respond within 30 days. You can also complain to the CNIL.
